National Science Day



In India every year since 1986 the day 28 February is celebrated as the National Science Day, Prof. C.V Raman discovered the famous RAMAN EFFECT on this particular day, 
Raman Effect is the Inelastic Scattering of Electron.

this came into influence in 28 Feb 1930 and hence the day is named as National Science Day. Professor C V Raman was awarded a Nobel Prize for his contribution to science in the same year, i.e 1930.
This day is celebrated to inform the Students about various Achievements in the field of Science. Many institutes and research centers celebrate this day by organizing workshops, seminars etc.
